Allison was a beloved wife to Brian and mother to their two precious children, Charlotte (10) and Tucker (8), who were the center of her universe and the ultimate joy of her life. She was a deeply caring and supportive daughter, sister, and aunt. Alli possessed a broad array of talents and her accomplishments were numerous: star athlete, standout student, phenomenal hostess, interior design aficionado, successful investment banker; but, above all, she was most proud of her role as a loving mother.
Alli was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer when she was just 34 years old and passed away after a quiet, but remarkably brave and courageous battle just over a year later in 2020. Her family and friends were left devastated by this enormous loss. Since Alli’s passing, her family and close friends have been searching for ways to honor her incredible life and legacy, including raising awareness for triple negative breast cancer.
Unfortunately, Alli’s story is one of many. Approximately every half hour, a woman in the US is diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). TNBC tends to be more aggressive, more likely to recur, and more difficult to treat than other forms of breast cancer. It disproportionately strikes younger women, Black women, and women with BRCA1 genetic mutations. While major strides have been made in TNBC treatment over the years, continued research investment is critical to the development of life-saving targeted treatments.
This year we are thrilled to announce that we are now partnering with the Atrium Health Foundation to create The Horizon of Progress & Excellence (HOPE) Program for Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) right in our community to better support TNBC patients, fund life-saving TNBC research, and educate patients, caregivers and health care professionals. We will have much more information to share on this in the coming months and at Concert for a Cure! But to make this happen, we need your support.
Please join us to honor Alli and to raise money for TNBC Research!
